– ITINERARY –

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be – Can Tho (Lunch)

At 7:30 AM, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City to begin your journey to Cai Be. Upon arrival, you'll embark on a boat trip to visit what remains of a once-famous wholesale floating market on the Tien River.

Here, you'll learn how local trading customs have evolved due to modern societal developments, as road transportation and advanced farming techniques have become widespread. You'll witness the diverse and abundant fruit orchards of the region, solidifying its reputation as the fruit basket of the lower Mekong Delta.

 

Take a leisurely stroll around the small villages, where you'll discover the beauty of an ancient house and gain insights into the local culture.

 

Visit a small local family-run workshop where they produce coconut candy and crispy puffed rice cakes.

 

Enjoy fresh, delicious fruits and immerse yourself in the melodious tunes of Southern Vietnamese folk music (Đờn Ca Tài Tử) – a traditional art form deeply intertwined with the life and culture of the Mekong Delta people.

 

Paddle a sampan boat through the narrow canals – an exciting experience that allows you to admire the surrounding scenery, relax, and soak in the wonderful atmosphere of the Upper Mekong Delta. Afterwards, upon reaching Tan Phong Islet, you'll be enveloped by nature's tranquility.

At lunchtime, you'll not only savor delicious dishes but also have the opportunity to connect with locals as you learn to prepare Vietnamese specialties yourself. The meal you've helped create will be served amidst a charming local garden.

 

Cycle along village paths, passing through lush fruit orchards. Meet local residents to learn more about daily life in the Mekong Delta. Visit the ancient house of Mr. Ba Kiet.

 

Finally, take a boat back to Cai Be and board a bus for your transfer to Can Tho City. Continue your journey to Can Tho and enjoy an overnight stay here.

 

Day 2: Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market – Ho Chi Minh City (Breakfast/Lunch)

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. You'll then take a leisurely boat trip to explore the beautiful branches of the Hau River (Bassac River), followed by a visit to Cai Rang Floating Market, the most vibrant floating market in the region.

 

Take a walk to visit a local rice noodle workshop. Explore Munir Ansay Pagoda – a famous Khmer temple known for its unique architecture. Afterward, travel by boat to Con Son Tourist Area, where you'll visit a fruit orchard and enjoy seasonal fruits.

 

Have lunch before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.
