- ABOUT THIS SERVICE - 

 

Opened since early June, the 54 Ethnic Groups Jewelry Museum is located on the first floor of a building on Nguyen Hue pedestrian street. It showcases thousands of pieces of jewelry and clothing from all ethnic communities in Vietnam. The museum holds and displays over 10,000 valuable artifacts, serving as evidence of the creativity and cultural essence of various ethnic groups throughout the country.

The artifacts are part of the collection of Mr. Do Hung, the museum's founder. He established this place to introduce the cultural beauty through ancient jewelry that he has collected over the past 30 years.

 

The first room features clothing and jewelry from various Vietnamese ethnic groups. The museum arranges the display areas according to the geographical location of resident groups with similar cultural traits.

 

Each piece of jewelry reflects the unique cultural identity of each ethnic group through its patterns, designs, and wearing styles.

 

Visitors can learn about the significance of each type of jewelry in the spiritual and material life of these ethnic communities.

 

The clothing of the Kinh ethnic group includes the traditional four-piece dress and the quai thao hat.

 

The most valuable items in the Kinh jewelry collection are artifacts such as earrings, bracelets, rings, and necklaces from the Dong Son culture, over 2,000 years old.

 

The Muong ethnic group’s jewelry collection features artifacts from a community with many cultural similarities to the Kinh.

 

The display area for the Hoa ethnic group (one of the oldest ethnic groups linked to the development of the Kinh people) is spacious, with a large number of artifacts. The jewelry is diverse, made from materials such as gold, silver, jade, marble, and ivory.

 

The Cham ethnic jewelry is displayed on a stand styled after the temples of this group. The Cham artifacts are quite diverse, including bracelets, necklaces, rings, earrings, bead strings, and hairpins made from various materials.

 

In addition to the 54 ethnic groups' jewelry, there is also an exhibition of Nguyen Dynasty artifacts on the 8th and 9th floors. Be sure to visit this as well!
