— ABOUT THIS SERVICE —

Embark on an unforgettable full-day adventure deep into Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, combining jungle trekking, spectacular cave exploration, refreshing lake swimming, and a delicious lakeside BBQ. Begin with a hike to Elephant Cave, where impressive rock formations, sparkling stalactites, and fascinating wartime history reveal the natural and historical wonders hidden within the Ke Bang forest. Continue through the lush jungle to Ma Da Valley, where you can cool off in the crystal-clear waters of Ma Da Lake before enjoying a freshly prepared BBQ lunch beside the lake. In the afternoon, trek through the scenic Tra Ang Valley to discover Tra Ang Cave, an extraordinary water cave stretching more than 600 meters. Equipped with a life jacket and headlamp, you can optionally swim into the cave and experience its mysterious underground environment with support from the safety team. With experienced guides, safety assistants, essential equipment, lunch, entrance fees, and travel insurance included, this medium-level adventure offers an exciting combination of nature, history, and exploration for travelers seeking an active experience in the heart of Vietnam’s wilderness.

 

— DETAILED ITINERARY —

07:30 AM - 8:00 AM: The guide will pick you up and take you to the Jungle Boss headquarters (Phong Nha Town, Bo Trach District, Quang Binh).

 

08:30 AM: Group meeting to introduce the itinerary, rules, and safety and environmental protection recommendations. Here, you will receive necessary items such as water, towels, etc., listen to information about the tour itinerary, safety precautions, and sign the Release form

 

09:30 AM: Afterward, the car will transport you deep into the core zone of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park to the starting point.

 

 

10:00 AM: Arrive at the starting point for the Elephant Cave hike. The group will follow the trail leading to the entrance of Elephant Cave. Hidden behind the lush foliage of the Ke Bang forest, a massive cave entrance gradually reveals itself before your eyes, accompanied by a refreshing cool breeze. You will take a short break to recharge with snacks and pastries. You will navigate terrain covered in green moss, weave through sparkling stalactites and stalagmites in the darkness, and listen to the history of the cave's formation and historical stories about a glorious wartime period, when Elephant Cave served as a stronghold for Vietnamese soldiers during the resistance war. This fascinating journey is sure to take you from one impressive surprise to another.

 

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM: After exploring Elephant Cave and taking photos at the back entrance, you will return and continue to the campsite in Ma Da Valley. When you are feeling tired, you will be instantly "refreshed" by swimming in the crystal-clear, cool Ma Da Lake. 

 

12:00 PM : Arrive at Ma Da Lake, relax, and swim in the lake.

 

1:00 PM: Enjoy a BBQ lunch by Ma Da Lake. Lunch will be prepared by the lakeside, featuring delicious grilled dishes prepared by Jungle Boss's chefs. Accompanied by the specialty "Moi Cheo" (a special salt mixture) of the Phong Nha region, the meal will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on you.

 

2:00 PM: Continue hiking uphill through Tra Ang Valley. 

 

3:00 PM: Arrive at Tra Ang Cave and prepare equipment for exploring Tra Ang Cave. After lunch, you will continue trekking through the jungle to Tra Ang Valley - home to the Tra Ang water cave, which is over 600 meters long.

After arriving at the campsite, safety assistants will help you wear life jackets and headlamps to explore this unique water cave.

 

4:30 PM: End the exploration of Tra Ang Cave and walk to Road 20 Quyet Thang.

 

5:00 PM: Arrive at Road 20 Quyet Thang and enjoy cold drinks.

 

5:30 PM: Vehicle pick-up back to Phong Nha. End of the journey.
