Day Tour | One-Day Abandoned Valley Trekking Tour | Depart from Dong Hoi/ Phong Nha

Departure time:  8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Duration: 9 hours.

Transportation: Walking, Car.

Pick-up & Drop-off:

– ITINERARY –

8:00 AM: We’ll pick you up at hotels in Phong Nha and take you to our Base.

 

8:00 AM – 8:30 AM: We’ll have a quick meeting to discuss the trip and go over the rules for the National Park. We’ll also warm up before we start trekking.

 

9:00 AM: Our trek begins as we explore the deep Abandoned Valley forest. We’ll hike about 4 kilometers through the jungle and rocky terrain, surrounded by mountains, rivers, and caves like Thuy Cung and Vang caves with stunning natural formations.

 

10:00 AM: After an hour of trekking, we’ll reach the Golden Cave area. To get inside the cave, we’ll climb over rocks and explore its massive stalactites. This will be an adventurous experience.

 

11:30 AM: We’ll arrive at Aquarium Cave, also known as E Cave. It’s one of the most beautiful river caves in the national park, untouched and pristine. Here, you can swim in the clear blue springs, admire colorful stalactites, and even swim further into the cave if you wish.

 

12:30 PM: After all that adventure, we’ll enjoy a BBQ lunch with grilled pork or chicken, special salt, rice or sticky rice, fruits, and vegetables in the forest.

 

2:00 PM: We’ll start our trek back to the Ho Chi Minh road.

 

4:00 PM: Arriving at the Ho Chi Minh road, you can relax and enjoy a cold drink.

 

4:30 PM: We’ll drive you back to Phong Nha and drop you off at your hotel.

• Caving and safety gear: caving helmet, caving headlight, gloves, life jacket.
• Basic canvas trekking sandal (only if you do not have your own pair) sizes 36 – 43.
• Shared dry bag for phones and small cameras (limited availability for larger cameras). Dry bag is prepared in case of high water level.
• First Aid Kit and Medical Rescue Equipment.
