Cu Chi was known as the “area of steel” in the war time, and the tunnel systems were over 200km, which was considered the unbreakable underground village in the Vietnam-American war.
It is legendary for its network of tunnels and is a popular destination for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors.

I particularly enjoyed the opportunity to taste special tea and cassava, traditional foods of the guerrilla fighters, which added an authentic touch to the visit. - General Information -

GROUP SIZE: 12 people.

PICK UP:

Morning option: 07:30 – 08:00 (the time of pick up depends on the customer’s hotel/ accommodation’s exact position).
Afternoon option: 12:30 – 13:00 (the time of pick up depends on the customer’s hotel/ accommodation’s exact position).

RETURN: 15:00 (morning option) and 19:00 (afternoon option).

ROUTE: HCMC – Cu Chi district – HCMC.

- Itinerary -

Pick up at your hotel and depart to Cu Chi will take approximately one and a half hours bus driving.

Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short introduction followed by introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of the war time. Then, spend your time to explore the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the special constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purpose during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served.

Break time for relax or time for those who want to try the real shooting gun.

Return to Saigon. End trip.

Pick up and transfer to the centrally located hotel/accommodation in District 1 (expect Đa Kao Ward, Tan Dinh Ward), Ho Chi Minh City:
- Time pick up is 07:30 - 07:45 AM (option morning trip) / 12:30 – 12:45 PM (option afternoon trip); the customer must be present at the lobby at that time (the time of pick up depends on your accommodation’s exact position).
- TNK Travel just offers pickup service to customers at the hotels located in the center of District 1, in more detail consisting of streets: Ly Tu Trong, Le Thanh Ton, Truong Đinh, Nguyen An Ninh, Phan Chu Trinh, Luu Van Lang, Le Anh Xuan, Đong Khoi, Nguyen Hue, Thi Sach, Thu Khoa Huan, Thai Van Lung, Mac Thi Buoi, Ho Huan Nghiep, Nguyen Thai Binh, Le Thi Hong Gam, Bui Thi Xuan, Suong Nguyet Anh Ky Con.
- The exact pickup time in the above-prescribed ranges varies according to the position of the customers’ hotels or the pickup points required. Because of the traffic rule, the hotels/accommodations located in the alley will not be served the pickup service. We are not responsible for your lateness.
If you are not staying outside central District 1, please make your own way to the meeting point (TNK Travel office: 112 Tran Hung Dao Street, Ward Pham Ngu Lao, District 1) at 08:00 AM (option morning trip) / 12:30 PM (option afternoon trip).
Children must be accompanied by an adult. The child rate applies only when sharing with 2 paying adults. Otherwise, they will be subject to the adult rate. A surcharge may be applied to the bookings with 2 or more children.
