Escape Hanoi and discover the cultural and natural beauty of Ninh Binh on a memorable 2-day, 1-night journey. Visit Bai Dinh Pagoda, admire its impressive Buddhist architecture and magnificent statues, and enjoy a scenic boat ride through Trang An’s UNESCO-listed landscapes. Relax overnight at Trang An Heritage Garden, with accommodation, meals, and convenient transfers included. On the second day, explore Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s ancient capital, and visit the temples of King Dinh and King Le to learn about the country’s history. Enjoy a countryside cycling experience before cruising through Tam Coc, known as “Halong Bay on land,” with its rice fields, limestone karsts, and spectacular caves. End your adventure at Mua Cave, where approximately 500 steps lead to breathtaking panoramic views of Tam Coc, before returning to Hanoi.
- DETAILED ITINERARY -
DAY 1: HANOI - BAI DINH - TRANG AN
07:30 AM - 8:00 AM: Our tour guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter for transfer to Ninh Binh.
09:15 AM: You will have a short break of 15 - 20 minutes to stretch your legs, use the facilities or have a quick snack.
10:30 AM: The first destination to explore in Ninh Binh today is Bai Dinh Pagoda, one of the most famous pagodas in Vietnam and well-known for many Asian and Vietnamese records. In the pagoda, you can see 500-stone statues of Arhats, a Belltower with 27 tons and 36 tons of bronze bell, and a Golden statue of the Goddess of Mercy



12:15 PM - 12:30 PM: It is time to enjoy Ninh Binh specialties in the private area of our Trang An Heritage restaurant. The vegetarian option is available.


1:30 PM: You continue your trip to Trang An, a World Heritage Site recognized by UNESCO in 2014. There, you can spend 1.5 hours on the boat ride to enjoy the beauty of this place, which owns a beautiful tunnel cave system and appears in the New Version of Kong in 2016 - “Skull Island”.



3:30 PM: The minivan will transfer you back to Trang An Heritage Garden.

4:00 PM - 4:15 PM: Check in the room. Enjoy swimming at pool on summer time.

7:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Have dinner at restaurant. Overnight at Trang An Heritage Garden.
DAY 2: HOA LU - TAM COC - MUA CAVE - HANOI
07:00 AM - 08:00 AM: Have a breakfast at restaurant.
09:00 AM: Check out of room.
09:45 AM: Our driver will pick you up by minivan transfer to Hoa Lu.
10:30 AM: Visiting Hoa Lu - the ancient capital of Vietnam from years 968 to 1010. Then you will see the Temple of Dinh King and Le King to learn more about Vietnamese history under the Dinh, Le, and Ly Dynasties.

11:15 AM - 11:45 AM: It’s time to join our 30 minutes cycling activity to discover the life of the local people. Or stay behind and either relax in the restaurant for sightseeing and capture the views in the nearby lake, waterfall and valleys.

12:00 PM: You will have a buffet lunch with local specialties in the private area of our Trang An Heritage Garden.


1:15 PM - 1:30 PM: Visiting Tam Coc, known as “Halong Bay on the land”, where you will spend 1.5 hours on the boat to explore this area. On this excursion down the Ngo Dong River, you will pass through the beautiful paddy fields, limestone karst formation, and a stunning cave system including Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba caves for a unique experience.



3:30 PM: Our next destination is Mua Cave. There, you will climb 500 steps to reach the mountain's peak, overlooking the beautiful view of the city and Tam Coc below.


5:00 PM: It is time to get transferred back to Hanoi
7:30 PM - 7:45 PM: Drop you off at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter.
