Escape the bustle of Hanoi and discover the rich history and peaceful landscapes of Ninh Binh on this full-day tour. Visit Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s ancient capital, and explore the historic temples of King Dinh and King Le before enjoying a scenic cycling experience through the tranquil countryside. A buffet lunch featuring local specialties is also included.In the afternoon, choose between a sampan boat ride through the rice fields and caves of Tam Coc, known as “Ha Long Bay on land,” or the spectacular limestone landscapes and tunnel caves of Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterward, relax and enjoy the scenery before returning to Hanoi with convenient transportation and an English- or Vietnamese-speaking guide.
– DETAILED ITINERARY –
07:30 AM - 08:00 AM: The guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter (or at the meeting point at the Hanoi Opera House at 08:00 AM) and travel to Ninh Binh.
09:15 AM: Enjoy a 15-20 minute break to relax at a rest stop, stretch your legs, or have a quick snack
10:30 AM: Arrive at Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam from 968 to 1010. Visit the temples of King Dinh and King Le, and learn about Vietnamese history under the Dinh, Le, and Ly dynasties.

11:15 AM - 11:45 AM: Participate in a 30-minute bike ride to explore and enjoy the serene beauty of the countryside, or relax at the restaurant area with photo opportunities at the waterfall, fish pond, and lotus pond.

12:00 PM: Enjoy a buffet lunch with local specialties at Trang An Heritage Garden.

1:15 PM - 1:30 PM:
► Option 1: Tam Coc, known as the “Ha Long Bay on land,” where you will have 1.5 hours on a sampan boat to explore the area. During the boat ride along the Ngo Dong River, admire the beautiful rice fields, limestone mountains, and a system of caves including Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba.

► Option 2: Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized in 2014. Here, you will have 1.5 hours on a sampan boat to enjoy the natural beauty of the magnificent cave system that featured in the 2016 film “Skull Island."


4:00 PM - 4:30 PM: Travel back from Ninh Binh to Hanoi.
6:30 PM - 7:00 PM: The bus and guide will drop you off at the meeting point in Hanoi's Old Quarter.
