8:00 AM: Our guide and car will pick you up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City center and start the city exploration tour. The first stop will be the Reunification Palace, the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until the end of the war in April 1975.
After the Reunification Palace, you can walk to see some French colonial structures including Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office.
Continue to Chinatown and visit Thien Hau Pagoda, dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea. Discover the highlights of this fascinating area, starting with intricate friezes, carved tableau, and impressive incense coils that make for great photos. Then, observe street life through the narrow streets to Binh Tay Market, which sells everything from clothes to dried squid.
Afternoon: Have lunch at a local restaurant, then continue to visit the War Remnants Museum, where there is a vast display of both Indochina wars.
In the courtyard, massive military vehicles are on exhibition, as well as tiger cages for visitors to get a feel of what it was like to be a prisoner during wartime. Inside the museum building, each floor represents a separate theme from the war and the war crimes committed against the Vietnamese people.
We end the city tour at Ben Thanh Market, where you can find everything from food to souvenirs.
End of services: Say goodbye and finish your Ho Chi Minh City tour with sweet memories. After a day visiting Ho Chi Minh City with the Joytime city tour, we believe you will never forget this peaceful and charming city.
