— ITINERARY —

DAY 1: SGN - DONG THAP - LOTUS LEAF PAGODA - TRA SU FOREST - CHAU DOC (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

At 6:30 AM, guests gather at the meeting point and depart for Chau Doc. Breakfast is served at Van Thinh Reststop in Binh Chanh with dishes like beef noodle soup, broken rice, and rice noodle soup, along with a choice of drink.

 

Continue along the Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway, passing My Thuan suspension bridge, to Sa Dec city. Visit the Lotus Leaf Pagoda, followed by lunch at Kim Trang restaurant.

 

Proceed to Chau Doc. Begin exploring the beautiful Tra Su cajuput forest ecosystem in the afternoon. Walk 500m from the parking area to the boat dock, then take a motorized boat along the canal through the shaded cajuput forest to the first stop.

 

Transfer to a rowing boat for an immersive experience through the green cajuput forest. The water's surface is covered with green duckweed, creating a vast green carpet.

 

Enjoy the cool air and serene atmosphere as the boat glides gently, offering a peaceful escape. Observe birds foraging on the duckweed.

 

After the boat ride, return to the dock and continue the journey.

 

Climb the observation tower for panoramic views of Tra Su forest, walk along the path through the forest, and take photos of the bridge across the canal.

 

Visit the restaurant area amidst the wilderness, featuring small stilt houses for a romantic setting.

 

In the afternoon, check in to the hotel in Chau Doc. Dinner at Lang Nuong restaurant. Free evening to explore Chau Doc by rickshaw or taxi, visit the Sam Mountain night market, or stroll around the town.

 

DAY 2: CAM MOUNTAIN - CHAU DOC MARKET - SAIGON (Breakfast, Lunch)

Breakfast at the restaurant. Visit Tay An Pagoda, Thoai Ngoc Hau Tomb, and the sacred Ba Chua Xu Temple, a major pilgrimage site in the Mekong Delta.

 

Continue to Cam Mountain, learning about the Seven Mountains region.

 

Ascend Cam Mountain (716m), known as the "roof of the Mekong Delta," featuring Thuy Liem Lake, Son Than Temple, Big Buddha Pagoda, Van Linh Pagoda, and the 32m-tall smiling Maitreya Buddha statue.

 

Optionally, take a 3.5 km cable car ride (self-paid) over Thanh Long Lake for stunning views of the Seven Mountains.

 

Lunch at the restaurant. Visit Chau Doc Market for local specialties. Return to Ho Chi Minh City, stopping in Sa Dec for regional products. Cross My Thuan suspension bridge and travel along the My Thuan - Trung Luong expressway back to Saigon.

 

Arrive in Saigon, concluding the 2-day, 1-night Chau Doc - Cam Mountain tour.
