Day Tour | Experience the Waterways of the Mekong Delta in My Tho - Ben Tre, Departs from Ho Chi Minh City

— ITINERARY —

7:00 AM: Our bus and tour guide will pick you up at the designated location to begin the journey to My Tho - Ben Tre, two of the most prosperous provinces in the Mekong Delta. Following the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway, we reach My Tho and stop at Mekong Restop for a short break and free time for photos.

 

Upon arrival, you will visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, built by Mr. and Mrs. Bui Cong Dat in the 19th century. This pagoda is considered a significant architectural monument with a unique blend of Asian and European styles.

 

Next, we head to My Tho Pier and board a boat to cruise along the Tien River, admiring the four famous islets of Long, Lan, Qui, and Phung. You'll also observe local fish farming activities and the iconic Rach Mieu Bridge.

 

Arriving at Thoi Son Islet (Lan Islet), we take a leisurely walk through a village path to visit local homes and a 5,000 m² pomelo garden with abundant fruits all year round. Capture memorable photos and explore a honey bee farm while enjoying honey lemon tea.

 

Afterward, you'll listen to traditional "Don Ca Tai Tu" music, enjoy fresh tropical fruits, and take a paddle boat through the narrow canals lined with water coconut trees, experiencing the rustic charm of the Mekong Delta.

 

Returning to the main boat, we continue to Ben Tre to visit a local coconut candy workshop and a rice paper-making factory in Tan Thach Village. You'll also experience a horse-drawn carriage ride through the countryside, observing the local lifestyle.

 

We then have lunch at Viet Nhat Ecological Restaurant, featuring a crocodile, porcupine, frog, and soft-shell turtle farm. There are hammocks for resting, a fruit orchard, and a rice field. You can also join complimentary folk games like cycling over a bridge, paddling a boat, rope swinging, and walking on a monkey bridge.

 

3:00 PM: We return to My Tho Pier and head back to Ho Chi Minh City. The tour concludes at the drop-off point. We bid farewell and hope to see you again on future journeys!
