– ITINERARY –
From approximately 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM: Our tour guide will contact you before the tour and meet you in the hotel lobby for pick-up. We will then head to the city center.
Independence Palace (Dinh Doc Lap): The Reunification Palace (Independence Palace) is a must-see for visitors to Ho Chi Minh City. This palace served as the residence of the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. It also marks the end of the war, where a North Vietnamese army tank breached the main gate in 1975. Today, it stands as a museum, offering a compelling glimpse into life in South Vietnam during the war.
Notre-Dame Cathedral (Nha Tho Duc Ba): The Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon, officially the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of The Immaculate Conception, is located in downtown Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Established by French colonists as the Church of Saigon, the cathedral was built between 1863 and 1880.
Saigon Central Post Office: This post office is situated in downtown Ho Chi Minh City, near the Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, the city's cathedral. The building was erected during the late 19th century, when Vietnam was part of French Indochina.
War Remnants Museum: Formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes, this museum poignantly illustrates the futility of war. The 'Requiem' exhibit, featuring black and white photography, is particularly moving, dedicated to both foreign and Vietnamese journalists and photographers who lost their lives during the conflict. The outdoor courtyard displays war remnants, including rusted jets, tanks, and cannons captured from the American military.
