Discover Hanoi’s cultural and historical highlights on this 5.5-hour afternoon tour. After pick-up from a designated meeting point near your hotel, enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant, with vegetarian options available. Visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, the city’s oldest pagoda, peacefully located on an island in West Lake and dating back to the 6th century. Continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university, established in 1070, to explore its traditional architecture and educational heritage. End your journey at Hoa Lo Prison, also known as the “Hanoi Hilton,” and learn about Vietnam’s colonial history and resistance through its historical exhibits. With standard or limousine transportation, an English-speaking guide, entrance tickets, and bottled water included, this tour offers a convenient and enriching introduction to Hanoi’s heritage before returning to your hotel.

- DETAILED ITNERARY -

12:15 PM: Our guide and bus will pick you up at the designated meeting point and head to the restaurant. (The tour guide will inform you about the meeting point before the departure date)

12:30-12:45 PM: Lunch at our restaurant. You have the opportunity to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine. Vegetarian options are available.

Note: In case passengers do not have lunch with the group, our bus will pick up at the hotel around 1:30 PM.

1:30 PM: Visit Tran Quoc Pagoda located on the Ca Vang Island in West Lake. This is the oldest pagoda in Hanoi, built in the 6th century.

2:30 PM: Continue to visit the Temple of Literature - the first university in Vietnam, established in 1070. The Temple of Literature is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Northern Vietnam.

3:30 PM: Continue to visit Hoa Lo Prison, built by the French from 1886 to 1901 when Vietnam was part of French Indochina. Hoa Lo Prison is known as the "Hanoi Hilton" and is now a war museum for those who want to learn more about the Vietnamese resistance against the French.

4:30 PM: Bus returns you to the hotel. End of the trip!
